Our High Street property has been in the portfolio for 35+ years! The property was purchased and operated as a multi-tenant retail property for decades until the hardware tenancy slowly expanded to encompass the entire footprint. Aubuchon Hardware has operated in Downtown Clinton for decades, having started one of their first stores in Clinton (Store #008) in 1928.
Downtown Clinton has experienced a revitalization in the last few years, and ARC recently completed a substantial refresh of the property’s facade. During the discovery phase of the architectural process, we uncovered the original stone veneer face, which was covered by several generations of old barn board and sheathing. The last time the stone veneer was part of the design, was in the early 1900s when the property was operated as a local grocery store. Our redesign project thoughtfully included new modern elements and materials, and preserved the original stonework, for a “old meets new” look, which is appropriate for ARC’s long-standing ownership in the community.
